On Wednesday, September 25, Port Director Thomas Kampmann initiated the official inauguration of yet another step on the road to make Køge Harbor one of Denmark’s most important commercial ports.
With this inauguration, 3/4 of the facility is ready to be put into operations, and will be 1200 meters long, when it is fully finished.The new facility is 50 meters wide and will be able to receive vessels with a depth of 8.5 meters. In addition, both electricity and water supply have been established for future guests in the harbor.
Mayor Marie Stærke welcomed the fact that the new facility means that both businesses and newcomers to the city have been accommodated in the municipality.
